Tell us who is in your family!
My family includes my husband, Brad, and our two boys - Graham (almost 4yo) and Reid (1.5yo)
Where is your hometown?
Georgetown, TX!
What is/was your career?
I was working in the tech corporate world before quitting to stay home with my boys this past August 2024!
How did you find FIT4MOM?
Through social media
How long have you been a part of FIT4MOM Cedar Park/Leander?
Since Sept 2024 — I joined during the free week!
What has FIT4MOM done for you?
FIT4MOM has been so great for me as I shifted into staying home with my boys. I knew in that transition that I’d need community and something to keep us busy. I’ve loved getting to know all of the other mamas and chatting with them is often the highlight of my day! Watching my boys play and interact with the other kiddos warms my heart as well. Getting out of the house is so important for us, and having a consistent place to go and be in the sunshine is such a game changer.
What is your favorite class/exercise?
I love the regular Stroller Strides class, but have also been loving the Body Ignite virtual classes as well on days that someone is sick or I just need to stay home and get some stuff done around the house.
What has surprised you most about motherhood?
It’s the toughest job I’ve ever had, a constant test of my patience and resilience, but also the most fulfilling. Every time my boys hug/snuggle me, hit a new milestone, learn something new, or say something or do something funny, they remind me that it’s all worth it.
What are a few of your favorite things?
During my “me time”, I’m either reading (probably a book for the Lit4Mom book club!), watching trash reality TV, or baking (newest hobby is sourdough).
What has been your proudest mommy moment (so far)?
Learning to lean into this season of life and enjoy it as it is — as messy and chaotic as it can be. Also, when I get both of my boys to nap at the same time, that’s pretty cool as well. 😅
What advice would you give a new mom?
To just lean into this season. The laundry can wait. Do the contact naps without guilt, just grab some headphones and a podcast or audio book. And find a baby carrier/wrap that works for you so when you do need to be up and about you can. Find a community of mamas in your same season and lean on them. & Ask for help when you need it! As cliche as it sounds, this season of life is so short so savor the little moments. And of course take all the videos, not just pictures ❤️
Anything else you'd like to share?
I just love that FIT4MOM is not only a place to workout and better myself, but also a community with built-in, really thoughtful and adorable playdates. My boys were in daycare prior to me staying home with them, so there were constant theme days and artwork, etc which I loved. When I pulled them out I knew I would miss that, but thanks to FIT4MOM's amazing playdate captains I don’t have to 🥰
