Celebrating 25 Years of FIT4MOM: More Than a Workout, a Village

Twenty-five years ago, one new mom was looking for something many of us are still searching for today.

She wanted a reason to get out of the house. A way to move her body after having a baby. And, perhaps most importantly, a chance to connect with other moms who understood exactly what this new season of life felt like.

When FIT4MOM Founder and CEO Lisa Druxman couldn't find a workout designed for moms with babies, she created one herself. What started as a small group of women exercising together in a San Diego park became Stroller Strides—the nation's first stroller fitness program, the "OG mommy and me workout"—and eventually grew into FIT4MOM, the country's leading fitness and wellness community for moms.

Twenty-five years later, that same mission still guides everything we do.

At its core, FIT4MOM has never just been about fitness. It's about creating a village where moms feel supported, encouraged, and reminded that they don't have to navigate motherhood alone.

The workout may be what gets a mom to her first class, but it's rarely the reason she stays.

She stays because another mom remembers her baby's name. Because someone notices when she's had a hard week. Because friendships form while toddlers play after class. Because the women beside her become the people she texts when she needs advice, encouragement, or simply another mom who understands.

In fact, according to a recent FIT4MOM member survey, 86% of members say the connection with other moms—not the workout itself—is the primary reason they continue coming.

We see that every day with moms in the Cedar Park area.

Since opening FIT4MOM Cedar Park | Leander (formerly FIT4MOM Austin), we've had the privilege of serving thousands of moms throughout the Austin community. While our locations and programs have changed over the years, our purpose has remained exactly the same: helping moms find strength in motherhood through fitness, friendship, and community.

And as motherhood evolves, so has FIT4MOM.

While many families first discover us through our stroller classes, today's FIT4MOM supports women through every stage of motherhood. From prenatal fitness and postpartum recovery to mom-only strength training, wellness coaching, and running programs, we're continually growing to meet moms where they are—not just when their children are little, but throughout their motherhood journey.

That's part of what makes this 25-year milestone so meaningful. FIT4MOM isn't celebrating because we've been around for a long time. We're celebrating because, for 25 years, moms have continued to need exactly what inspired Lisa to start this movement in the first place: connection.

Motherhood can be isolating. It can be beautiful and exhausting, joyful and overwhelming—all in the same day. Having a community that reminds you to take care of yourself while cheering you on through every season makes all the difference.

For 25 years, FIT4MOM has been building those communities in parks, studios, neighborhoods, and coffee shops across the country. Here in the Cedar Park area, we're honored to be one small part of that story.

Whether you've been with us for years, just welcomed your first baby, or are thinking about coming to your very first class, we're so glad you're here.

Here's to 25 years of stronger moms, healthier families, lifelong friendships, and villages that continue to change lives—one workout at a time.
