4 Things Busy Moms Should Do Every Day (Even When Life Feels Like a Tornado)

Let’s be honest—mom life is beautiful chaos. Between extra curricular activities, snacks on the floor, nap battles, house work, full-time work, and every thing else, finding time for yourself can feel like an impossible dream.

But here’s the truth: taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential. AND it doesn’t have to take hours a day!

Here are 4 simple, powerful things every busy mom should do daily to feel more energized, present, and strong—inside and out.

1. Move Your Body (Even Just a Little)

You don’t need a 3 hour gym session or a perfectly quiet house (lol, what’s that?) to get your body moving.

Whether it’s getting out of the house for a solo workout with friends, bringing the kids to the park for a stroller workout, squeezing in a quick at home sweat while they play in the backyard, going for a family walk, or even dancing in the kitchen— daily movement can shift your energy, boost your mood, and help you feel a little more like you again.

Pro tip: Have a short workout (like one of our virtual classes) in your back pocket for the days that life throws you a loop!

2. Hydrate Like It’s Your Job

Water affects everything— your energy, your digestion, your skin, even your patience (yep, really). Start your day with a big glass of water and keep a bottle nearby alllllll day long so you can keep it sipping.

Mama hack: Add lemon, cucumber, or berries to make it feel fancy (and more fun to drink).

3. Take One Intentional Pause

Some days it may be a quiet morning alone with your coffee or a walk around the block with your favorite playlist, and others might just be hiding in the bathroom to take a few deep breaths— even imperfect, giving yourself even a tiny moment to just be can reset your whole vibe.

Try this: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 6. Instant calm.

4. Celebrate the Small Wins

Most important of all, make time to pat yourself on the back— because just surviving and keeping kids alive every day deserves an award.

Did you get dressed today? Fold a load of laundry? Survive bedtime chaos?

YOU ARE CRUSHING IT.

Celebrating the little things helps you see progress and stay motivated, even when life feels like a nonstop marathon.

Remind yourself: You’re not failing—you’re just doing the work of ten people. And that’s worth honoring.

MORAL OF THE STORY IS . . .

You’re showing up and doing your best for your kids, you deserve to make sure you do the best for you too.

Start small, stay consistent, and don’t forget— YOU MATTER.
